Happenings At Habitat
"Angel Food Ministries"
Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, non-denominational
Christian organization dedicated to providing food relief and
contributing to benevolent outreaches in communities throughout the
United States.
Angel Food Ministries provides discount food to EVERYONE. In the
current economy we can all use a "Helping Hand" in feeding ourselves,
our families, our friends, and even those we have not yet met.
Habitat For Humanity of Jessamine County is helping to sponsor this
monthly event. You can get a box of food that is valued at anywhere
between $60-$90 for ONLY $30 This can be paid for with cash. check or
even Food Stamps. There are also Senior Boxes, Fruit and Vegetable
boxes and even special meat boxes. The actual content vary each month.
You can get the monthly menu and order forms by stopping into the
Habitat ReStore at 317 North Main Street in Downtown Nicholasville or
by calling 859-881-1906 ...
Remember this can be for EVERYONE! Even help your neighbors out this
month!
"Home Partners"
Habitat For Humanity of Jessamine County (KY) is currently
seeking "Home Partners". Habitat for Humanity is the 14th largest
Home Builder in the country, and Jessamine County is working
diligently to expand our capacity for providing HOMES for those who
need "A Hand-Up" not a hand-out. We provide homes at a 0% mortgage
rate and in most cases the mortgage is substantially less that the
appraised value the day you move in.
If you or someone you know is looking to own their own home and has
been unable to purchase on in the past, contact Habitat For Humanity
in Jessamine County for an application. You do need to be a current
resident in Jessamine County and meet the guidelines for being able
to pay your bills and a mortgage (which is often less than renting a
small apartment).
For more information contact Habitat at HabitatInfo@ windstream. net or
stop by the ReStore at 317 North Main Street in Nicholasville for an
application.
